Carrie has been involved in musical theater and the arts for about 35 years. Carrie has been a performer in myriad musicals, a dance company member, a cheerleader, a member of the BYU Ballroom Dance Company, taught voice lessons on and off for the last 17 years, choreographed for performing groups, worked as the Music Director for kids and teen shows for Herriman City as well as the Director for the children's musicals. She worked as a volunteer for the non-profit Friends of Herriman as a Co-Chair for the Children's Theater, as well as a Producer for their Children's and Teen's shows. Carrie is also a Board member of the Salt Lake County Arts Board. Carrie served a mission in Madrid, Spain where she created and directed youth choirs to perform musical performances for thousands of people. She loves using Spanish in her work with the arts. Carrie studied Vocal Performance at the University of Utah and graduated with a degree in Child Development from BYU. She has worked with many amazing professionals throughout the years and has gleaned many wonderful techniques and valuable skills that she can't wait to share with your children. Carrie is married and has 5 children. She loves working with the youth. One of her greatest joys is seeing the young performers blossom in their skills and friendships, but more importantly, their self-confidence and self-worth while working in shows, classes or summer camps.
Bethany is passionate about music, theater, teaching children, and her family: husband Tim and their 5 children. An avid performer, she has been seen performing lead roles on stages across Utah and the U.S. She was a National Anthem singer for the Utah Jazz for several years, as well as a Performing Missionary in Nauvoo, IL for the LDS church. As a graduate of BYU, Bethany received a bachelor's degree in Child Psychology with a minor in Music, studying vocal performance. She loves teaching and working with children when she is not on stage. She has been teaching private voice lessons for 19 years, directed many children and youth performing choirs, and taught music at Riverton Elementary School. For the last 13 years, she has served on the Herriman City Arts Council as the Youth Theater Specialist while also acting as the Producer of the Herriman Children and Youth Theater Productions as well as Music Director and Producer of the Herriman Children’s Theater Workshops. Bethany has seen how the arts can help children develop self-confidence, gain new friendships, and develop talents and life skills. As a part of the South Valley Performing Arts team, she is thrilled to help provide more opportunities in the performing arts through fun and educational theater camps to full musical productions.
