Participants will increase their skills, abilities, and confidence as they step into a world of drama, music, and dance and as they perform at events throughout the community and perform in a spring musical. Parents will witness these unforgettable performances as their children make lasting memories and friendships.

Rising Stars Academy MDT Kids classes is the perfect place for young performers ages 7–12 to discover their love for the stage while building real performance skills. Rising Stars Academy MDT Kids classes is the perfect place for young performers ages 7–12 to discover their love for the stage while building real performance skills. In a fun, welcoming environment, students receive training in singing, dancing, and acting through group instruction led by experienced, passionate teachers who specialize in working with children.
Classes are held every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, running from September through April at Advantage Arts Academy in Herriman. Throughout the season, students will grow in confidence, creativity, and stage presence as they prepare for a fully staged musical theater performance in the Spring. In addition to the final production, students may also have opportunities to perform in community events throughout the year.
Whether your child is new to theater or already loves the spotlight, this program provides a joyful and enriching experience where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired. It’s the perfect foundation for young stars to shine—on stage and beyond.
Additional Fees: 2- $130 performance/ Costume fees due in October and February
Participants will buy their own black jazz shoes for performances.

Rising Stars Academy MDT Teens classes is the ultimate experience for youth ages 12–18 who are ready to grow as performers and shine on stage. This dynamic program provides both individual and group training in singing, dancing, and acting, all taught by professional instructors with real-world experience in performing and directing.
Classes are held every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, running from September through April at Advantage Arts Academy in Herriman. Throughout the year, students will develop their skills in a supportive, challenging, and creative environment designed to build confidence, technique, and stage presence. The season culminates in a fully staged musical theater performance in the Spring, featuring all Teen Academy students in a powerful, collaborative production. In addition to the spring show, students may also have the chance to perform in community events throughout the year.

Step Into the Spotlight! We’re thrilled to launch a brand-new class just for our younger performers! Join us Thursdays from 4:30–5:15 PM for Musical Theater Dance Fundamentals for Kids—a fun and energetic lead-in to our Musical Theater class.
Your child will learn the basics of Jazz, Ballet, and Broadway-style dance in a supportive, upbeat environment designed to build confidence, coordination, and stage presence. This class is perfect for beginners or young stars who want to improve their skills and shine even brighter on stage!
With 2- $90 performance fees due in October and February.
If you participate in both a musical theater class and dance fundamentals class, you will pay the regular musical theater fees and only the $65 costume fee for the dance fundamentals class each semester. You will not pay another performance fee for the dance fundamentals class.

This fast-paced, technique-driven class focuses on Jazz, Ballet, and Broadway choreography, while helping students improve flexibility, strength, and their ability to learn combinations quickly. Whether you're preparing for auditions or want to elevate your onstage performance, this class is a powerful tool to strengthen your triple-threat skills.
With 2- $90 performance fees due in October and February.

Discover MDT Summer Camp at Rising Stars Theater
Join us this summer in week-long teens and kids camps where participants will sing, dance, act, and perform a musical revue at the end of the week on Friday evening. This is a camp for all levels and abilities to prepare them for upcoming auditions, plays, and musicals at their schools and throughout the community.
